Second, I was thinking back to my time on the policy circuit and I have an interesting assignment for you. I want you to spend a little time writing a short summary of why people should about the plan text that was previously posted. (For the people with prior policy experience, think about it as an underview and a way to organize why the judge should vote for you.)
Specifications:
- Three reasons would be ideal.
- Be concise when you explain your reasons, and don't make it too long.
- You should be able to read it (slower than speed reading, but faster than you normally talk) in under a minute and a half.
- Be passionate and convince me.
- Try not to research. Use what you know, and what has been posted.
The reasons to vote for this plan are obvious. It has much more benefits than any Disad could try to outweigh. If we look to the homeless advantage we can see that homeless people endure suffering everyday and live in terrible conditions. This kind of suffering against humanity should not be allowed to continue and we must stop it at all costs. Also, we can continue on to the racism advantage. Racism is hurtful towards everyone and should not be tolerated. People suffer everyday because of racist comments and the wall of hatred that it supports. But because of our plan, and the Bardnt 91' card, the affirmative can slowly start to tear down that wall of hatred. And lastly, we outweigh any nuclear war impact the neg can throw at us because our economy advantage fixes our current economy and prevents the generic nuclear war impact.
ReplyDeleteFirst, you have to look at all the benifits voting with this plan can give you. 1. Experience, with all the new workers getting experiance in the construction force will allow them to do more complex jobs, and give them a chance at better jobs. 2. Housing, well that one is easy, peopel with little money will have homes, and giving them hope, and a chance to get on there feet, and perpare for the job market. and 3, With all the new consturction companies, the econ will sore! giving the U.S. a Strong economy, and totally ending poverty!!!!
ReplyDeletein the squo, highly qualified people are losing their jobs everyday due to the fact that the employers spend millions of dollars on bonuses and cant afford to pay their employees. those who are losing their jobs, and millions of others who were left behind in the economy in the first place, cannot afford to buy or keep their homes. our plan can change this.
ReplyDelete1. the plan provides jobs for people who have previously lost or who havent been able to get a job. buy providing them with a sustainable and flowing income, the plan gives them money to survive and the self respect to take care of themselves and their families. this helps the economy, saving from extinction, but it also helps people create a life for themselves on anindividual level. you can lose a child and have your country go to war, you can have a divorce the economy can be in a recession, but the individual impacts hurt more. having the ability to sustain yourself in real life outweighs any impact.
2. o yea....and giving people homes and jobs ends poverty, which lifts the economy and stops nuclear war. bam.
3. its no secret that many people who cannot afford homes, or many unemployed people, are minorities. by giving them soveriegnty to sustain themselves in society, we are destroying the image of poor and lazy immigrants, raising them to the same level as the rest of us, taking a leap away from racism.
there are many reasons to vote for this plan.1) homeless peole or people with little money will have a home. 2) while building this home that will give poeple jobs. 3) consturction companies need to buy things for the house so that will help out the stores. so that is why you need to vote for this plan.
ReplyDeleteVoting for the Affirmative is a vote for hope! a vote for change in our current racial ideologies, and a vote for the Affirmative is the solving of unemployment,of solving for the Economy, and restoring the American way of life!
ReplyDeletehey alex, can you think of any good DA's this year? i want something beyond politics, but something saying other than like poverty and racism and disease good (coughcough BURBACH).
ReplyDeleteI've been thinking about DA's, and we'll cook up something good, don't worry about that. I am currently splitting my free time between class work, and a new advantage. I saw an article on Reuters last night that caught my eye.
ReplyDeleteJudge if you vote aff you help tear down the walls of racism, and at the same time help the economy, if you look to my partners and i's solvency evidence you will realize we can solve and that there is nothing wrong for you signing the ballot in affirmation
ReplyDeleteJudge, there is only one clear way to vote in this round and that is AFF. First, our racism advantage clearly shows that housing and unemployment practices are racist, but plan would help to reverse that. Plan would assist everyone equally, no matter their skin color. It may not solve all racism, but it is a step in the right direction, just like our barndt 91 evidence talks about, "brick by brick, stone by stone." Second, unemployment is a vicious circle. It feeds off itself, and spurs the use of other welfare programs. Despite the Negative's claims that spending too much will lead to nuclear war, the cost in the long run would make the DA inevitable, and we have a chance to stop it with plan. We will always win probability and timeframe, as unemployment and lack of housing is happening now and also magnitude, because the racist practices and great cost of unemployment affects everyone and this will always trump any unlikely scenario for nuclear war that the Negative attempts to create. Now onto the line-by-line.
ReplyDelete(It may be a little long, but tell me what you guys think)
